American Apparel recently featured transgender model Isis King. The 26 year old model who was featured on the show " America's Next Top Model" in the 11th cycle of the show. She was also the first ever Transgender model to appear on the show. American apparel which is a California based company, featured the model in its spread to show off its new t-shirts for Pride Month which is the whole month of June. Pride Month for those of you who don't know is the month dedicated to support gay rights. Using transgender models is a big leap for a company in the mainstream fashion industry and a bigger accomplishment for the LGBT community. Isis is certainly a great pick because she's beautiful and talented. Things like this make me happy for fashion and the community! @prettygirlsings
